  Yoav Synagogue is one of the surviving synagogues of Afghan Jews located in the Mohamandha neighborhood in the old city of Herat. This area was once known as the neighborhood of the Musaites. Yoav is the only synagogue among the four other synagogues in Herat (Ashur, Ghol, Yoav and an unnamed fourth) that still remains with its original features. This three-story synagogue consists of an assembly hall, side rooms, a corridor, and an exterior consisting of seven small and large domes with Jewish characteristics.
